Hello beautiful people, how the heck are ya? I miss my fans and friends. I have been buckling down since my last performance for Stray Cat Alliance in Venice Beach to writing and building my song catalog for this pilot season and future opportunities for TV/Film. I’m so excited because I really like to write stories based on other peoples stories so it’s really fun.  Just last month on Pretty Little Liars, Dreams In Ashes was in the background in one of the scenes. NEW TRACKS:  I have started writing and recording with my friend Lindsay Gillis from the amazing band Catahoula http://www.hgd.com/catahoula/ Check them out too! My great friend Pamela Clay is the lead singer. They are truly amazing and have a really cool sound. Lindsay is so easy to work and write with and we are really beginning to create a great new sound together that I can’t wait to share with you.  I have to be patient cause we are in the baby steps right now so I am really staying focused and looking forward to sharing the new tunes with ya as soon as I can and of course I will have a show here in town to release the songs that I hope you can make it out to.

On another HIGH note: I seem to be the National Anthem girl these days, which I am so honored about. I will be singing the National Anthem at UCLA Softball this Friday Directions to Jackie Robinson Stadium: http://www.uclabruins.com/facilities/jackie-robinson-stadium.html

And also for the May 5^th game so if you like Women’s Softball and you’re a fan, come on by. It’s a great time to say hello.

Oh one last thing, I colored my hair red AGAIN. You know me, always changing my hair color. Ultimately I love any shade of RED so here is a new picture of what I look like today as my casual self. Yippee!! Busy Busy Bee!

Going from yoga, to at home bunkering down writing/recording, to an occasional National Anthem gig to keeping my vocal chops up!

Sailing in San Diego with my husband Director/Producer Joe Plonsky

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope your holiday was all you wanted it to be and more. I had a great holiday in San Diego, saw some friends I haven’t seen in a while, went shopping in the vintage stores and bought some cool eclectic things for Christmas gifts. I prefer shopping in little unique stores, especially because I like to get things that are made in San Diego and that are from local artists. I also went sailing with my husband on my birthday which was so much fun. Since I don’t have a picture of my UCLA performance yet, here’s one from our sailing journey.

as soon as I have it to share with you from both performances. To recap, my last experience with Men’s Basketball was amazing. After I sang the National Anthem and walked off the court, I felt so short as all the players are sooooo tall. This was a different experience for me as I am almost 5’10”. A very humbling experience at that plus they all cheered me on. I felt so honored to sing and met many fans as I walked back to my seat. I look forward to those new fans joining me here on my website.

UCLA Pauley Pavilion

Happy Holidays everyone. I just got back from England and I am now getting ready to sing the National Anthem this Saturday at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion UCLA Basketball vs., Fresno. Yippee!!!! I am so excited and honored to have this opportunity to sing for the crowd and these great athletes. I know it’s going to be a super game!! After the game I will be heading to Barones Italian Restaurant baronesfamousitalian.com  to sing a song in Pamela Clay’s show. http://www.pamelaclay.com/index.html          I love being one of her guest performers. Happy Holidays!! It’s that time of the year again to celebrate the holidays. Last year I joined this fabulous group of singers and musicians with an organization called http://www.HolidayMusicMakingADifference.com/  It was fantastic to be able to share the spirit of the holidays with patients in the hospital and rehabilitation centers. Vincent Leinen runs this organization and tours all around the country. I am so glad that he asked me to participate again this year.

Here’s how it goes. We walk around in groups and sing holiday songs to the patients and meet each other for the first time along the way. YAY! At the end we gather on a stage with a bunch of cool famous rock stars that play their hits to all the folks. It’s a private concert unlike you’ve ever seen before. Last year I was asked to sing Ave Maria with 3 great female singers. It was a beautiful performance and so much fun to be on stage singing and harmonizing with each other. Our voices blended so naturally together. It was especially memorable to me because I used to sing that song with my sisters growing up.

RECAP!!  This year has been very musical in so many different ways. I have been working on my musicianship skills, collaborating with other artists, playing guitar and singing my songs for Cedars-Sinai patients, playing flute with The American Victory Orchestra & SGI for Daniel Pearl World Music Days where my dream of singing with an orchestra and gospel choir came true, and most recently with shows to come in January, playing organ and singing with Blues Adjacent and Ann Cusack, I’m really out there challenging my self and meeting amazing artists and it has been so much fun. Yeehaa!

FANS!!! The biggest highlight has been seeing my courageous and dedicated fans that have come out to support and are still reaching out. This year has been a big soul searching time for me in my life and I may not have been in touch as much as I have before so I want to send a HUGE thank you for your continued support in my musical journey. There is more fun on the rise.

LET’S DANCE!!!!  I have a couple new projects that are in the works. The first one to share with you is a new bi-lingual track called “Release Me” with my friend Mixman Shawn. If you are a fan of my tracks “Blue Sky” and “Blue Sky Remix”, you are going to love this one. For my fans that have requested that I sing more Arabic, this track is for you. It has the extra Middle Eastern twist that so many of you have requested. I will be taking this to the clubs so put on your dancing shoes and lets dance. Yay!!

Every year for the month of October, artists from around the world perform dedications in his honor. It’s called World Music Days. I have a link below of Elton John’s dedication that I wanted to share with you. I hope you will join me in celebration of his life this Sunday in Santa Monica, California. Hello there, I am excited to share my next performance with you. As some of you know, I am an artist with the Daniel Pearl Foundation. www.danielpearlfoundation.org. October 1 – 31, 2012 – is the 11th Annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days. Global network of concerts for “Harmony for Humanity”.  This event happens every year for the month of October where artists from around the world dedicate their performances to the foundation in honor of Daniel Pearl.

About four years ago, I set 2 goals. The 1st goal was to be an artist with the Daniel Pearl Foundation and dedicate my shows the month of October to World Music Days. The 2^nd was to be one of the artists invited to perform at the Annual SGI-USA American Victory Orchestra/Daniel Pearl World Music Days Concert held here in Santa Monica, California.

Well this is the year YAY!!  I’m in.  The long story short…when I set this goal, I really wanted to play my original music and didn’t think much about a possible other opportunity. At first they told me my music wasn’t right for the program but since I am a flautist they invited me to come to rehearsal. Because I believe in this great cause, I continued to remain focused on the most important thing; to be involved musically however they saw my talent benefiting the Concert. I went to the rehearsal and met everyone and as it turned out, they invited me to join the orchestra. As of right now, I am one of the flautists in the American Victory Orchestra but I may be involved musically in another way as well. Having a passion for world peace and world music, this is the kind of event that I am honored to be part of.  I will be sure to let you know more as the concert develops.
